Prompt 25

The 25th Worddly writing prompt!
In 2025 the first mission to Mars is a success. Upon arrival to the red planet the astronauts notice a cave. Inside they find a human skeleton and four words carved into the wall.
This week's writing prompt was submitted by, Julie Harrell-Dennis. The next writing prompt will be submitted Thursday, July 28th.

And now for a special announcement. Our goal here at Worddly has always been to inspire. The end of next month marks Worddly's one year anniversary and I couldn't be more gratified to see how our writing community has grown in just one year! Moreover, just how truly inspiring it has been to read the stories shared here on our site's pages.

As Worddly was first being designed, the idea quickly became to submit writing prompts every two weeks. This would allow for maximum inspiration for each writer to draw from. But as Worddly reaches its 25th prompt submission, the well of creativity to draw from has become more than plentiful and the decision has now been made for new writing prompts to submitted just once monthly. The new scheduling for writing prompts will be to have the prompts submitted on the last Thursday of each month.

This will ultimately allow our writers more time and energy to devote to their craft and individual voice and I could not be more happy with the decision!

This will also serve as a perfect jumping on point for anyone who hasn't joined or contributed to Worddly yet. To aid in this effort, we have added a new feature for users who haven't signed up yet. Simply e-mail your story to: Worddly.Writing@Blogger.com Put your story title in the subject line and state your name and which prompt you are posting to. And that's it! Your story will be saved to Worddly and posted as soon as possible.

Alongside these announcements, there are a few additional features that will be rolled out onto the site in the coming weeks. So be sure to check back soon for details!

And as usual, happy writing!
