Prompt 9 - Blue

What blue meant to her, I can only attempt to put in words, for I knew it only as she had made it known to me; through the senses when she would share them.
Through my sight I saw how she allowed blue to take over her spirit, to wrap itself around her soul and hold tight to all that her mortal body was not. I could hear the blue in her voice when she’d speak; powerfully alive when she was happy, devastatingly low when she was sad, and irresistibly salving when she spoke with love in her words directly from her heart.
In her touch it was as though I felt all the blue of the universe together formed of her, and when she was near I could smell it about her. The sweetest kiss could not be compared to the taste of it; it was as unique to her as she was to it. They belonged to each other, she and her blue.
It was as though blue had made itself known through her, a ray of light made manifest in human form to experience life as the mortals do, a force of nature masquerading among those who can only perceive it in the slightest. There is no way any of us might fathom it as she does, it is evident in who she is and what she does.
To separate it from her would destroy her, that much is clear enough – yet in the end, that is precisely what must happen. Though who is to say whether or not that will mean the end of her? There is every chance that she will live on within it, as every time one sees blue they will also see her, her brilliance shining out from the rest of them in the way that only she can.
The real truth is what I discovered blue to mean to myself. Of all of the things I can speak of what I know it to have meant to her, the real beauty is in what it meant to me, and not just me but to each of us. I know not what it means to all, but I know that it can mean any number of things, so there must be an infinity of meanings for it out there in the universe.
